    Amir and Hassan are best friends growing up in Afghanistan in the 1970s until an act of betrayal forces them apart. When the Soviet Union invades in 1979, Amir and his father immigrate to the United States, while Hassan stays behind.   • Co-written with Benjamin Evett. Based on based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” This high-paced and riveting one-person show tells the “true” story behind the Mariner’s epic voyage in Coleridge’s poem. Set on board a privateer ship in the 1720s, the play includes everything Coleridge left out, including the violence and swearing.

  • Based on the book by Mary Manning and Sinead O’Brien, and co-written with Kellie Hughes, Striking Back tells the amazing story of Mary Manning and the Dunnes Stores Strikers in Ireland in the 1980s. When 10 Dunnes Stores staff members refused to sell products from South Africa, in a gesture of support with the global anti-apartheid movement, they were suspended. This led to a nearly three year long strike, the result of which was an Irish-wide ban on South African products, and a partial European-wide ban, which contributed to the fall of the apartheid government.
